Ajaya Kumar Sahoo
Founder & Master Yoga Teacher at SVAYAM
Sri Ajaya Kumar Sahoo(P.G.D in Yoga Education, Geriatric Care, MSc Applied Psychology and Master Degree in Yoga Psychology, UGC NET Yoga) is a dedicated Yoga teacher, Yoga therapist and yoga consultant, who has 21 years of teaching experience at national and international level.
He has learnt the first lesson of Yoga in the year 1996 from Vivekananda Kendra. After that he has shown keen interest in Yogic study and did P.G.Diploma in Yoga Education from UtkalUniversity,VaniVihar. He joined theBihar Yoga Bharati(World’s First Yoga University)a residentialGurukul of Bihar School of Yoga as a Post Graduate student of Master degree inYoga Psychology (2002- 2004). On the eve of Vasant Panchami in 2003, he received Mantra Diksha from his guru Swami NiranjananandaSaraswati.
He has deputed by Indian Council For Cultural Relations(ICCR) Govt. of India and worked for 3 years (2007-2010) at MACIC, Embassy of India, Cairo and 3 years (2014-2017) at NSCBICC, High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur. Previously he worked as a faculty of Yoga at Utkal University, Vani vihar.
He has deputed by Indian Council For Cultural Relations(ICCR) Govt. of India and worked for 3 years (2007-2010) at MACIC, Embassy of India, Cairo and 3 years (2014-2017) at NSCBICC, High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur. Previously he worked as a faculty of Yoga at Utkal University, Vani vihar.
He is the author of a bilingual Yoga book “Yoga for Holistic Health” published by foreign University of Malaya and was released by honourable Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi.
He has contributed many papers on Yoga to various journals, periodicals and has also presented many papers on Yoga in several national and international seminars. His articles on Yogic practices have been translated into the Arabic language. He has also conducted more than 100 workshops on Yoga at national and international levels.
Presently he is working as a Visiting faculty to different Institute and conducting yoga therapy sessions for different health disorders.
Apart from this he conducts various Yogaworkshops on Pranayama; Meditation;Stress Management;Academic Excellence (for students);Personality Development; Emotional Intelligence;Psychological Wellness for Cancer Patient & Survivor;Sports Proficiency etc. throughusing precise array of Applied Yoga psychology methods, principles, techniques and practices which are workable holistically.
