Yoga psychology (योग मनोविज्ञान) is the nucleus of yoga has been an integral part of yoga from the very beginning. The principles and methods of yoga psychology described in the ancient Indian scriptures remained neglected for a long time.
Maybe they were written in Sanskrit and considered to be religious, philosophical, mystic or it was kept secret and was accessible for a select few only. Also, under the impact of foreign rules starting from Arabs, Turks, French, Portuguese to British this indigenous rich field of yoga psychology had been neglected in its own land.
